The developments in Belgium are very interesting to follow. The organization of the City Mountainbike series is determined to make XCE a spectator-friendly sport all over the world. Their calender for 2013 isn't 100% sure yet, but there are serious international plans.
Recently, they contracted the European Broadcast Union for tv coverage of all their events. We are also excited about the idea of racing in Rio de Janeiro in 2014. It's the next sound in a growing list of rumours about XCE going Olympic.
To give a first impression of the sport, recently a promotional movie was made in Antwerp. This is the city were the serie will start on June 2nd.

Grand Prix Daniel Federspiel
Winter times. No racing results to display on this website, but we see some very nice initiatives for the Eliminator format.
Last week we heard about an Eliminator in Imst, Austria. The race is scheduled on April 5th and will be held in Daniel Federspiels hometown. Federspiel was number one of the 2012 ranking and he also was bronze medalist at the World Championships.
At the moment we ranked Imst category 1 in our calender, but this can change over time. The list of participants and more information about the venue can influence the category.
For more information (German): http://imst-radelt.sv104.netvertising.at/ and http://radstars.at/1-imster-city-sprint-mit-daniel-federspiel-im-interview/
Series
As can be read in the article, there are plans for an Austrian City Sprint Tour. We encourage this initiative and we will keep you updated when there is more to tell.
Also, good vibes are coming from Belgium. The organisation of the City Mountainbike Challenge (CMC) has changed their name into City Mountainbike. A first preview of their new site is already very interesting. Major cities as Rotterdam, Antwerpen, London and even Rio de Janeiro are mentioned on the homepage.

Federspiel tops eliminator mountainbike rankings
We are proud to notice that Sue George of cyclingnews.com wrote an article about our website.
"The young discipline of cross country eliminator mountain bike racing is still getting established, and one website is hoping it will garner more attention for the fledgling discipline by creating a ranking of top eliminator racers."
The whole article can be read at cyclingnews.com: http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/federspiel-tops-eliminator-mountain-bike-rankings
It's nice read the first positive reactions about the site. Help is already offered for completing the womens standings, so you know what to expect soon.

Let's go online!
After some dedicated preparation we can proudly present all 2012 XCE results. Also, we present the 2012 World Ranking Eliminator. This ranking shows us who were the best sprinters in 2012. Good job, Daniel Federspiel!
For the complete ranking list: Click here.
We think the new mountainbike discipline XCE is a very interesting format and it deserves more specific attention. Therefore, this website is launched. We think decent information supply is the basis for organizations, riders and fans to get in touch with each other.
Riders, please note: If you find yourself in the ranking, mail us. This helps us building an athlete database. This winter, we want to start with riders information pages. These pages will be available on the website, but will also be available for organizations. Fans can have a look at your profile (and find links to your personal page or to your team website). And race speakers can download enough information to tell the crowd about your season history during the sprintraces.
Organizations, please contact us to put your race on the calender.
